The University of Iowa's collection of Civil War Diaries & Letters [View all]

The University of Iowa's collection of Civil War Diaries & Letters has been opened to the public to help transcribe:

"Thanks to the development of 'crowdsourcing' or collaborative transcription of manuscript materials, libraries are now able to use the knowledge and interest of the general public to meet goals that they would never have the time, financial, and staff resources to achieve on their own."

For those who love a mystery and a story to puzzle out, this is a great past time. Doing a good deed while reading someone's long forgotten words.
