I wasn’t on that train, but it’s a route I take at least twice a week for my work. Most times since then, heavily armed anti-terrorist cops or military or both patrol the major train stations of Paris, as well as Bruxelles Midi, from whence the half hourly nonstops to Paris leave.

You get used to seeing them, and no one disputes the need for them to be there, but the fact that train stations need this pisses me off.
