Ultimately though none of this is going to change our culture of violence, which I see as the bigger culprit. People are willing to kill each other all to frequently in our culture. That is the real tragedy. Still, getting on the ATF and the DOJ to do something about straw purchases and those other methods of getting illegal guns off the street it will help. If these measures save 1,000 lives a year it's a good thing no doubt. But, I think we save more by working toward a more humane society.

Your point about Tech school is spot on. In fact I favor that approach over college, but not everyone is Tech school material. I wish I was, but most the programs they offer I have 0 aptitude for. Any trade like electrician, or plumbing is great those jobs can't be outsourced.
