our gun ownership rate is lower than Norway, Canada, Finland, Switzerland, and maybe Iceland. We are more on par with New Zealand, France, Sweden, and Germany. My favorite comment

What absolute BS.

Pew just did their yearly study showing either 46 or 48% of households have firearms... Even the 'low' was 44% if I remember correctly.

This sounds like one of those studies where they purposely set out to 'prove' a point, and didn't accept any data that wasn't going their way.

That fact that they based their entire study on the assumption that there are fewer gun owners than in the past shows exactly what they were out to prove.

And since this 'study' was obviously commissioned for Bloomberg's gun control media site "The Trace" it's pretty obvious what the intent was.

This will never be published, it's click-bait for the gun control lobby and would never come close to passing peer-review in a real scientific journal.
