... that it's possible to fire a single shot from an AR-15, even with a 30-round magazine in place. And that it's possible to mount an optic on an AR-15. And that the .223 round would be less likely to overpenetrate and strike something other than the attended target than the larger centerfire rounds fired by the Remington 700.

Or aren't you?
