And then there is Chris, Matthews, again [View all]

We watch him because he has interesting guests - when he lets them speak - and is the only one that raises political points not found on the network news (more on them later).

Anyhoo, last year he boasted, again, about how he knows about politics, eating, sleeping walking 24/7 and predicted that Rand Paul would be the Republican nominee. "Mark my words" - or something like that.

I wonder whether they archived it or quietly lost it.

Oh, about network news: I entered the room at the half point time. It was on ABC because the local affiliate has the best earlier news. The news were about Miss Universe and then about some stupid football player. So we switch to the "serous news network" - CBS, exactly the same stories.

So we switched to Erica Hill on MSNBC and she was ready to talk about that football player.

And they wonder about declining network viewers. Or, perhaps, this is the way to get them.
