4. The national ownership limit isn't the only problem.

In my home market (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point) we have two Sinclair stations (ABC and My Network TV affiliates) and one Tribune (Fox affiliate). Due to channels 36 and above being reallocated for cellphones, some stations opted to go dark in the reverse auction. We lose 2 this way (CW affiliate, TBN affiliate). Sinclair will own three of the six remaining full power commercial licenses in our market.

Also Sinclair has had a horrid time with local news. They've outsourced their newscasts in our area to what was Time Warner Cable News.
