The Red Sea is long. Let’s round to 1000 miles

on the southwest side of Saudi Arabia

Yemen, Sudan, Eritrea, Sudan and more are on the Red Sea

However Iran is north of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries

Maps and Wiki are fun

Almost certainly those Marines passed within 100 miles of me today
