This is one way yotes hunt. They do that to scare and fllush out prey that is bedded down or hiding. Once they suddenly stop, they are on the kill. Tearing apart and eating their prey alive.

They are pack hunters. It's what they do.

That sound sends shivers down my back. It's natural, and normal, but something is about to get torn apart.
