(3,339 posts)a long time to get where we are and over the years we just slow down. Don't see as good, don't hear as good and the list goes on. The hardest part at least for me, is the realization the you simply cannot do many of the things you used to do physically and have to either ask for help or hire someone to do it for you. If you are a homeowner and used to doing things like repairs etc. yourself it is hard to watch someone else do it. Just relax and accept whatever limitations age imposes on you, smile and carry on. Also exercise in moderation. I walk almost every morning and I never know how many blocks it will be. Just depends on creaky bones and in my case breathing, (COPD and Asthma). Aggravating, yes! But you just do it the best you can. You will feel better for it.
Most importantly, keep enjoying life. It will keep you younger than your chronological age.
