It's not weird at all, I don't think.

I've been using online ordering for 3 or 4 years and have had no problems. Surprisingly they usually need minimal adjustment when they arrive as well.

Warby Parker sends you frames to try on, which is nice and convenient, but I've liked Zenni Optical's designs best (and their prices are amazing - I got 5 pairs for $450 - four of which were progressive and two of the progressives were sunglasses).
