Louisiana was I believe one of the first to join the Montford Points at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina close to or shortly thereafter - 8/26/1942. My father-in-law, a Vietnam Veteran Marine is the nephew of Uncle T and did not know he served was one of the first.

History, when books fail, is taught by trute life experiences.
