Her story has always called to me. Even as she was considered to be too controversial and thusly shunned by other leaders, Mrs. Coretta Scott King (another fearless example of leadership personified) did not shy away from her.
Josephine's accomplishments are a legacy of courage and determination. She even taught herself Pointe technique as an adult! My goodness!
