He seems to be getting more and more vague and flat-affect, every time he appears before a committee.

I also wonder if there was something other than a desire to retire behind his so completely leaving medicine. Someone with his specialty would be so valuable as a consultant or instructor.

What ever the case, there is most definitely an alarming decline taking place.
