Put out B&W magazine versions of the horror stories. That is when I came in (the first horror magazine I read was the demonic chess piece cover Eerie #41 (an absolute killer cover by Sanjulián)).

My dad collected EC comics. Unfortunately when he moved out, his mom cleaned up the attic (you know what that means). He passed away before EC reprints became widely available.
