His injury occurred about seven months before mine, and his was much more severe. Mine wasn't compound spiral (didn't break skin, clean break), and I didn't have infection and 17 surgeries. Twenty months after his, he was back playing pro football; twenty-six months after mine, I'm still hobbling with a crutch. I don't know how he did it, but I wish I did! And I admire him for doing it. (Granted, he's almost thirty years younger......)
