I do not follow swimming. If you'd asked me, "How many records does Michael Phelps hold?" I'd answer, "At least half a dozen."

According to the story in the OP, his last remaining record just fell, and it fell by a long margin. I realize records are made to be broken, but I thought Phelps' bests would be untouchable for many years.
