8. I love hockey but expansion and putting teams on the NASCAR circuit

is ruining it. For some reason, too, there hasn't really been a big name since Sidney Crosby (I know there is talent, like Conor Bedard and Ovechkin, but who outside of hockey fans have heard of them?)

There also aren't any fan-grabbing rivalries at the moment.

Too bad, it's a great product, poorly marketed. Stupid names like the Kraken do not help. That was a bone thrown to the tech crowd tastes, but they aren't really sports fans.

(It's also expensive. When the Kraken franchise started I looked into getting tickets to a Red Wings game and it would have been cheaper to fly to Detroit and watch them play there, including the flight and hotel).
