I had the fix applied and have to trust that the emissions are really down to where they need to be since I can't do my own measurements.

Thing is, I like the car.

And I still like it (and get good performance and mileage) post-fix.

That suggests that VW could have simply sold the car the right way in the first place.

Would have saved an awful lot of money and trouble.
