7. I wanted a Crosstrek but it's more than I can afford right now

This will be my second Subie. I had a little dinky hatchback in 1988 (Subaru Justy - anybody remember that one?) and I drove it HARD. The only thing that went wrong with that car was that I needed to replace the manual clutch after 110K miles. Not bad for driving it in hilly country. It was still running after 16 years when I donated it to a charity when my husband and I bought a new car.

Now I live in Michigan and I vowed I would get AWD for my next car. My current car has FWD and it's pretty decent in snow but you can't beat AWD with traction control.

As soon as the dealer sends me the VIN, I'm getting my Badge of Ownership: https://www.badgeofownership.com/UI/dist/ It's free!

I'm so excited!
