the engine WILL be damaged.

Rod exiting out the side of the block, type of thing.
Essentially writing off the bottom end of an engine.

Could be expensive in both fixing engines that have this problem before failure, and a replacement short engine after failure.

Honda dealers probably have a VIN list for affected engines, and a detailed procedure for fixing any that haven't blown.

Problem is with the crankshaft journal.
