12. Hey, does this thing have a fan clutch?

If it has a clutched fan then I bet that clutch is worn out allowing the fan to slip so the engine revs and the fan just moves lazily. This would cause insufficient cooling at low speeds causing the car to run hot under the hood causing the fuel sitch.

Get this info to the guys ASAP, please! They can check this out.
