The day ended well for midtown Manhattan's visiting Wild Turkey. [View all]

It wandered, looked around, and eventually flew up into a large tree (as turkeys do) near Park Avenue and 49th Street, where it can safely spend the night.

How did midtown's Wild Turkey (evidently a female, and also seemingly of wild origin) get there? The usual pathway is from the Bronx across a narrow creek to Inwood Hill Park and then on south through Manhattan.
