river in background, looking for whatever squirrels look for, then ran off.

NO, I don't feed them, but years ago they seemed to like roots of beautiful rose I had (in large planter,) wouldn't permit rose to thrive, so I removed the planter, and henceforth ignored squirrels. Today this was the only living thing I could find, tho heard some birds.
