USA v. Brazil 1-1 [View all]

There’s hope for this team yet in the upcoming Copa America after losing 5-1 to Columbia in another preparation match four days ago.

Brazil fielded a strong team that included Becker in goal, Marquinhos and Danilo in back, Guimaraes and Paqueta in midfield, and a formidable attacking trio of Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Robinho.

Overall, USA had the better chances and Pulisic really should have finished with two excellent unmarked opportunities in the second half. But, he did convert on a wonderfully executed direct kick at the top of the box in the 26th minute.

Goalkeeper Turner was the man of the match.
Ream, at 36, was stalwart, as usual, in defense although it’s easy to see how teams will try to play in behind him.
Antonee Robinson makes bat out of hell runs forward that lead nowhere.
All too often players are caught holding the ball in back.
McKennie, Musah and Reyna in midfield give confidence.
Still problems in getting the ball to central strikers Pepi and Balogun.

USA!
