6. Puyol not on the Spain team

Jun 2012

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol was left off the national team due to lingering injuries. I'm not sure how Spain can cope with the loss of my favorite player in the world.

David Villa is still recovering from his broken leg. He provided a couple of clutch winning goals in the World Cup run. I hope Spain can make up for it.

Despite these losses, Spain has the best team in the world and I fully expect them to set a new record by winning EC 2012 and become the first team ever to win EC-WC-EC back-to-back-to-back!
