give them equal time. Allow them, acknowledge them, validate them, honor them, give them their due, counter them with "if this happens, then I can try xyz," and then it will be easier to let them go and explore the exciting side. Really, if you deliberately try to focus extra attention on them, they may even start to get very boring

What we shut out (or bury) is more likely happen than what we address in a positive way.

And congratulations on your upcoming big change. I'm still hopeful about manifesting mine....
