Having grown up in Mi'ssippi, that was the prevailing worldwiew on the subject - at least among Republicans.

Some of the same people would openly praise Hitler - and blame his defeat and "America's being dragged into the war" on....you guessed it: "the Jews."

They likewise blame them for any number of society's ills.
