We visited Prague in 2016 with our synagogue. So many of the beautiful synagogues in central and eastern Europe are basically museums, since there are so few Jews left in the area. We visited the Pilsen synagogue, a small shul in Trebic
in the southern part of Czechia and a number of shuls in Budapest, including the Dohany Synagogue. It's very bittersweet.
