Please send prayers and love and comfort for my sister's family [View all]

Her husband’s brother was admitted to the ICU today and put on a ventilator.
His illness has a poor prognosis when it gets to this point.
I’ve been praying to my Higher Power and know that he and the family would truly appreciate any and all prayers sent their way.

We are a small family. He is the only sibling of my BiL, just as I am the only sibling of my sister. He and I are the ‘weird’ aunt and uncle, neither of us having ever married or had children (much to the annoyance of our cousin-less nieces and nephew). I feel a special affinity for him even though we don’t know each other well. He is a good man.

He is holding steady for now. The first 48 hours are critical, if he gets through that the mortality rate drops significantly. So, no news/change is good news. His condition has not gotten worse and that’s all we can hope for at this point. He is young (early 50’s) and strong so we are cautiously optimistic.
