It is very very common to think old creatures (people) are ugly, but a change of perspective yields other appreciations. Old creatures simply present a different model of visual appearance and have their own beauty. Their appearance has a story to tell.

For a shark or other to get really old, they have to be efficient in shape and performance. Efficiency has its own beauty. Sharks, young or old, can be fearsome looking but that doesn't make them ugly. They have many efficiencies.
