...speaking only for myself, I would rather it didn't require interviews with scientists to discuss it as science.

Nobody asked theologians to comment on Harry Potter as theology.

I get the McGuffin thing, I do.

Frankly I wish "Science" fiction were called something else, but I guess nobody cares what I think.
