4. The "new" species existed at the same time

as other species and they probably all intermixed, just like Neanderthal, Denisovan, and early Sapiens intermixed. The large headed species is "new" only in the sense that we did not know about it until recently.

We probably should call them sub species instead of species since they were capable of inter mating.
