Anthropology

The current crop in the USofA are primarily uneducated/racists that are being egged on by powers that want their disruptive capabilities.

Other varieties exist across the planet and may have religion/class/ethnicity/etc. as their basis for spewing hatred.

It almost seems to be a given in any animal society (and perhaps in the other kingdoms) that groups will compete to take control of the resources.
