10. When my Mum died I was actually working at a funeral home and got permission

from the facility where we had her arrangements done, to look after her for presentation.

My Dad didn't want an open casket, he didn't want to remember her as being so ill.
Once I prepared her, did her hair, make-up , dressed her, I had my Dad take one final look to ease his heart a bit.
He looked at her lovingly, asked that the casket be left open for all to see his beautiful wife.
He thanked me for giving him a gift of a sweet memory.

Funerals are so so important for some people. Viewing even more so. My Dad was able to remember my Mum looking at peace, dressed the way she would want to be dressed.

I will be thinking of you as you journey down this emotional road. May you be blessed with joy filled memories that cleanse your hearts with happy tears.
