For what it is worth-- I was in your exact situation 3 years ago. Hit the 60 milestone a few months after my wife passed away unexpectedly. Turned 61, 62, 63 - just existing and getting by - and then met someone special. Not the same, not "better", but special.

I hope you find something special too. In meantime, will be thinking of you.
