(23,423 posts)19. My deepest sympathy to you. My stepdaughter has an autistic son. He won't take all his meds,
wants to transgender, won't speak and is carrying around a stuffed animal. He was in college. I know she worries about suicide, but she herself is at the edge from worry and driving him to med appointments. Mental illness devastates everyone. I hope you can accept that sometimes life is just a mess and it's rare that one person can fix another. We have no magic wands, so please don't beat yourself up.
