2. There is a park in North Cholla Province dedicated to this folk story

In the folk tale the wife left at home by her peddler husband goes to to a hill nearby to wait for her spouse's return in vain. While waiting she's turns into a statue on the rock where she appeals to the moon for his safe return. (first photo at the link below)

The second photo shows a monument reflecting how the song was recorded in the illustrated Text of Traditional Music. (second photo).

The memorial to the legend was built in 1986 according to this blog entry.
