Especially if they watch Fox News... Fox made it their mission to act as a campaign surrogate, providing characterizations and explanations for all of Trump's criminal and morally reprehensible actions. And the people who ended up voting for him latched on to those slimy explanations like a lifeline.

It's like they've been brainwashed and nothing short of a thorough reprogramming will enable them to see the actual truth.
