but
from the article, I can't find anything that says they can seize the internet.

I think it would be a better post if the actual exec.order link was posted with factual wording about the seizing of anything posted as an excerpt.

That being said, I did notice the Government/private business wording,

by establishing a “joint industry-Government center that is capable of assisting in the initiation, coordination, restoration and reconstitution of NS/EP [national security and emergency preparedness] communications services or facilities under all conditions of emerging threats, crisis or emergency.”


For the record, I have no doubt it is a wet dream of the Military part of the M.I.C. to be able to shut the internet down when the natives get restless.
However, the commercial aspect of the 'net would be an argument against the idea.
