and the fact that the second one goes to a point I made recently about how awful it is that the Western media and governments just go on with this nonsense, that everyone knows is nonsense, about how we are focused on the citizens. Just owning up to the truth would be somewhat refreshing and at least make us look a little less idiotic. Nobody believes any of the BS from any of the sides and their supporters so they may as well speak the truth and we can go from there. But waiting for a Western journalist to question this thing of getting "pro West" groups into political influence in Lebanon rather than pro Lebanese or pro Arab or independent etc. will be a long wait. Western journalists and readers are just conditioned anymore to not even question the idea or propriety of going into sovereign countries and manipulating their politics to our viewpoint.

Also as I recently pointed out the retaliation for retaliation of a retaliation just keeps rolling through the years and we don't get anywhere as you said. Unfortunately our presence on the UN SC and our veto has prevented stern measures at the UN. I did find it refreshing that the UN officials in charge of the peacekeeping force have rejected the IDF call for them to leave. It is thought that if they did leave a more rapid and widespread ground invasion would take place. The UNIFIL forces are a multi-national force and in particular I would note that, despite the IDF being told by the UN officials in charge that the forces will remain, the IDF has tried to go around the UN Command by contacting individual nations outposts and demanding that their forces leave. So far each one has rejected the IDF request. India and Ireland specifically for example. Here is a link about it in The Irish Times.
