So, one of the broken men who denies rape culture exists threatened you with rape. There is an irony in him that he cannot see...

Will his friends on DU (those who have dramatically supported his sentiments, and those who have had their sentiment supported by him) continue on, rationalizing his outburst as being goaded or baited into? Will they illustrate the courage and the righteousness of their own convictions by rallying around both him and his socks? Will they seek to have his serious and respected voice of gravitas reinstated?

Or (and I find this much more likely to happen) will they quickly and quietly revise their own memories so that he simply does not exist anymore (false memories, I think they refer to as such), and masterfully feign indignation that anyone would ever associate his words with theirs?

On a more serious note-- you were threatened. It may be wise to take this a wee further than the Admins, and have a quiet talk with a law enforcement officer. Better to be safe.
