(14,733 posts)But it was still porn. I don't think you can simply ignore some porn because it doesn't openly display rape or humiliation, and proclaim that 'porn' is all about rape and humiliation, because, apparently, there's now a large market for porn that does feature rape and humiliation.
That's 'No True Scotsman'. Heck, to get more topical, it's like proclaiming that there are no Palestinians, only 'Hamas', so that you can decry anyone who dares to object about the treatment of Palestinians as being a 'Hamas lover'.
Porn is everything pornish, from the most loving self-made tapes by married couples to the hateful stuff mentioned in various comments here. You don't think that everyone who 'defends' porn is actually 'defending' men spitting on women or raping them anally, do you? Cause if so, I gotta say, you're painting with a really overly broad brush.
