some difficult times because their lives were completely centered around caring for the son or daughter with DS. They were in serious need of respite. And they must have been very conflicted. They also didn't know what to do about the future...who would care for their disabled adult child when they were too old or dead? I think these were some of the reasons for that bitterness...
