(18,960 posts)Seriously, there's a lot more going on here than an epic battle of the ages against sexism and misogyny.
There are some real issues that have nothing to do with gender.
The "2 for 1" deal of Bill Is Back isn't going to play well with a lot of voters.
Then there's the sanders thing. What he wants, and what his followers want, isn't what Clinton wants.
You have the Trump voters, and then you have everyone else.
The "epic tale" relies on Clinton clinching the Dem vote, the Independents, the Undecideds, and the Republicans who don't want Trump.
That's a tall order, no matter how you slice it.
I'm glad you're excited, but I'd save the victory lap until there is an actual victory.
Clinton is divisive. A lot of people don't like her, a lot of people don't trust her.
And her being able to turn that around in the next six months will be your "epic battle for the ages," and it will have nothing to do with sexism or misogyny.
She has baggage...a lot of it. And she will turn voters around and win them over, or she will not.
That's what the GE looks like when I take off the rose colored glasses.
