I'm a bit surprised women haven't evolved have our eyes toward the sides of our heads like other prey animals so we can more easily see what's coming up behind us. I'm on high alert any time I'm out after dark, even if I'm just taking trash out to the alley. The fact that I'm old and homely doesn't make me any safer.
