program is built on instilling the fear of confiscation into susceptible minds, when no such proposal or plan has ever been put forth by Democrats or anyone else.

Second Amendment absolutists and NRA/ILA apologists continually point to the AWB as "evidence" that "the gubbmint is comin to take away ALL of our guns," when the AWB is no different from the sensible ban on fully-automatic machine guns, or functional grenades. Gun manufacturers feed this fear of confiscation with advertising that implies "buy it now before you can't."

In my estimation, there are many "free people" who have absolutely no business walking around in public with a lethal weapon, just looking for an opportunity to stand their ground.
