Making an example of Driscoll would either make other misogynistic pastors reconsider their beliefs, or set a precedent that empowers other congregations to get rid of the ones that won't reconsider.

(Or on the cynical side: it will teach other pastors not to get caught putting down their misogyny in such vivid written terms).
