And yep - I knew that about the cop. It's those touches that always make a Redford movie great. Like in Brubaker - with the reference to the mirrored sunglasses! And how he always used to pick on Newman's own.

And I loved looking at pics of Bernstein and Woodward from that time - and stills of Hoffman and Redford. They totally nailed those guys. Right down to their mannerisms. It's easy to see why they were such a good team on the investigation.
