I live a few miles away from Seneca Falls, NY (home of the Women's Rights Museum) which bills itself as the model for Bedford Falls in the movie. Every year, they have festivities celebrating this (unproven) fact. The actress who played ZuZu in the movie, Karolyn Grimes, faithfully shows up every year. It's a big deal for the town. They even have a museum:
